As well as the services displayed to the left, WACA provides support to community groups and charitable organisations. You can best take advantage of this support by becoming a member of WACA.
Becoming a member of WACA is free! All you have to do is download our Membership Form from the 'About Us' page, fill it in and send it to us.
Why Join WACA?
WACA Membership is free of charge; we are funded to provide support to all voluntary and community groups in the Winchester district. By becoming a member you will be entitled to the following:
WACA has a Development Support Service which provides advice on:
- Funding, and practical help and advice on funding applications
- Organisational and management support
- Advertising, Publicity and media
- Business Planning
- Resources sign-posting
The Development Support Service is free of charge for voluntary and community groups within the Winchester district.
All members receive a free subscription to ‘Thriving Communities’ and our Funding e-bulletin.
Our newsletters are sent out to over 350 different organisations and individuals in the Winchester district, they offer the latest news, events and funding information for the local voluntary sector. As a member you can also request to have an article about your organisation featured in one of our publications.
Members have access to many of our services and facilities at a discounted rate.
This includes: Payroll services; accountancy / bookkeeping service, photocopying, office space, training/meeting rooms.
Members hear about the latest training opportunities and events.
In addition to this, all members have the right to vote at the AGM, nominate individuals to stand for the WACA trustee board and have the opportunity to participate in the Voluntary Sector Forum.
