WACA Voluntary Sector Forum
Aims
• To strengthen and develop the voluntary and community sector in the Winchester District, in a climate of equal partnership with statutory agencies.
• To enable two-way communication with Winchester District Strategic Partnership to ensure that the interests of voluntary organisations and the communities they serve are taken into account
• To be a voice for the local community promoting equality among groups and within the community

FREEDOM FROM FEAR (Community safety)
Domestic Violence and Abuse Forum
An independent multi-agency forum working to improve support services for those affected by domestic violence and raise awareness of their needs. Voluntary and community sector representation includes Relate, CAB, Friends of the family, Youth Counselling, Trinity Women’s Centre.

Carers Forum
Winchester District Carers Forum Steering Group – a multi-agency, cross sector group supporting the establishment of a Carers Forum for Winchester District.

Winchester Young Persons Agency Group
WYPAG’s mission is to provide a strategic overview of the work undertaken with young people aged 11 – 24 across the Winchester District by statutory, maintained and voluntary organizations and to take action on issues of mutual concern.

Winchester Families Network
Winchester Families Network has combined with Lantern’s Children’s Centre Multi-Agency Outreach Network. Winchester Families Network meets on a school term-time basis and provides a co-ordinated, multi-agency focus for those working with children and families.

An electronic BME forum running since February 2006 as part of WACA’s BME Engagement Project, to share information about BME events, training, conferences or job vacancies and provide good networking opportunities
