Dial-a-Ride:
This is a door-to-door service, “bookable” up to 8 days in advance, designed to convey individuals (and carers) to a wide range of destinations in Winchester and outlying villages (hospital appointments or day care centres not included). Vehicles used vary in size from 4-5 seat up to 12 seat Minibuses all wheelchair adapted. Drivers are MiDAS Trained and undergo regular refresher courses.
The service is most useful to people with mobility or sensory impairments who find it problematic to use ordinary passenger transport systems, but you do not have to be registered disabled to use Dial-a-Ride.
Community Transport:
As a Community Transport Operator we run 3 minibuses, plus 1 “car” (all wheelchair adapted) which we hire out to groups, Community Associations, Youth Groups or groups of individuals.
Hirers provide their own drivers, who must be MiDAS trained, but if this is not possible we will do our best to supply a suitably qualified driver. We are also an accredited MiDAS Training Centre and will happily provide the training necessary for you to acquire your MiDAS certificate.
Charges for hiring the vehicles are on a rate per mile basis, which decreases after the first 100 miles.
