Transport (Winchester & East Hampshire)

Dial a RideDial-a-Ride mini buses are specially adapted with handrails and low steps, each vehicle is equipped with a lift or ramp to assist wheelchair and walking frame users

Do you find it difficult to use ordinary buses? struggle without wheelchair access on public transport, then look no further, choose Dial-a-Ride!

Who can use this service?
Anyone with a mobility or sensory impairment, meaning that you cannot use or have discomfort in using public transport like a bus or taxi is welcome to use our service, you do not have to be registered disabled or a wheelchair user to be eligible, maybe you just struggle climbing the steps onto buses.

You can go places such as shopping or social trips, however we can't take you to hospital appointments.
The cost of the service is similar to bus fares, slightly more expensive than a traditional bus, but less expensive than a taxi, you pay the driver just as you would on a bus.
Assistance is always available from our well trained, friendly drivers so you dont have to worry about getting on and off the bus.

Bringing along a friend or escort
If you would like to bring along your own wheelchair or scooter or shopping trolly, friend or a passenger as an escort then this can be arranged, just let us know at the time of making your booking. We can then identify if we have the room in the minibus/car.

If you have an essential escort, they are welcome to ride with you free of charge, you will need to state this requirement on your registration form and explain why the escort is necessary.
