As a part of the 2026 Black History Month programme the Watford African Caribbean Association is inviting you to join us to take a virtual look at the issue of ‘AI and Us’ on Thursday 15th October 2026 from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
The session will take a plain-language look at what artificial intelligence actually is, starting with the Hidden Figures story and the Black women whose calculations put people into space. We then cover the risks that concern us: deep fakes, voice cloning and scams aimed at older people, with a live demonstration. After that, what it means for jobs and money, and we finish with questions.
I the light of recent media reports this is a session not to be missed. As always don’t keep this invitation to yourself, please share with others.
The session will be facilitated by Martin Jackson and Sean Eubank.
If you would like to attend, please email: hello@waca.org.uk to register your interest.
