About the event
On Tuesday 3rd October 2023, we (WACA) will be hosting A BHM session reflecting on this most important matter starting at 7.00pm. Look at almost any data concerning the experiences of people of African heritage, and we will find evidence of racial disadvantage. Please join us virtually to share your own experiences, to explore this issue further and to consider what we can and must do about it.
Through this session, we aim to foster awareness, understanding, and to engage in a meaningful discussion of the current state of race discrimination in the UK, its impact on individuals and communities, and potential strategies for combating it. We will be focusing on the UK experience, but all are welcome. The event is suitable for all ages so do invite all your family and friends to join us. The session will be supported by colleagues with a wealth of experiences in this area.
